On Cory's 92mm piston x 86 mm crank 2.3L, peak WHP is 8500 and holds to 9500.

On a 86mm x 86mm 2L motor, this will be much higher.

On a 92mm piston x 92mm crank 2.45L motor, the larger crank will cause peak WHP to be much lower. You are looking at something in the 8000 and holding to 9000 area.

For an example. Corys N1 cam 2L peaked at 8600 RPM, and his N1 cam 2.3L motor peaked at 8000 RPMs. You can clearly see the bigger motor having a lower peak RPM. This is more exaggerated with a larger crank.

Not to mention it has a lot to do with your intake/exhaust manifolds...

whats the most that you can rev a 2.0L engine ? just with 184C, springs & retainers, some aftermarket pistons with valve reliefs and forged rods. I know its pretty difficult to estimate. and of course.. all carefully balaced in a machine shop.

As high as the motor can make power to.

Yeah all depends on where you feel safe. Depends on what piston speeds you feel safe with. I have taken my 86mm stroke motor to 9700rpm and she's doing great. I know of people that go even higher.

it would be cool to have a VE with a 10,500 redline.

Get sacachispas into the mix to have results of 184Cs on 2.0L motors as well...

- Any new news on Kelford cams? Out of the three versions they have out, is there a drop in cam you can run at 0,0 and make more power than the N1's?

i don;t think there is a cam they make currently between n1 and the 184c;s, you could get a custom cam made. If you fill in the spec sheet they should be able too sort something. though i think they normally just recommenmd n1s for stock block.
