Role call for those with ASP budget headers.
Hi guys,

wondering if you'd be so kind as to share some basic info with the subsequent tuning after a set of Snickers 'Budget' headers were installed replacing your original set of headers?

Was there any major changes required to keep the AFRs at a good level, or timing altered?

Any assistance will be very appreciated.

Feel free PM me directly, if you'd like to keep it all hush hush and on the down low...

Every car is different.

Go get yours tuned. Changes for one person may not be the changes your setup likes.

More for a idea of what to do once they are on, before the tuning process starts; possibly a couple of weeks in between...
Hence the general 'needs more fuel down low', or something like that.

very little in my case, some slight tweaks for fuelling when I lowered the cam change over.
Tried more fuel, less fuel, more timing and less timing up top and made no gains in power.

Another 'satisfied' customer, eh?

HOPEFULLY, fingers AND toes crossed here, the results will be different to what outcome came from yours.

When I first changed my header out from ssac to the asp, I definitely experienced a difference. It was also much louder and more raspy.

I put down 183 and ended up gaining almost 8whp just because I was running around 14:1 and after richening to 13ish I ended my gains. Tried raising timing with absolutely no gain, so left it where it was.

Wicked, cheers!

What was the area under the graph like, in comparison?
Also your response, and torque?

afr's in the mid 12's, up high, worked good for my setup also. both with the fuji and the budget.
maybe thats why i gained hp/tq with the oem ecu/maf combo over the jwt ecu/pathfinder maf combo. both with 333cc injectors.
with ~ 100 dyno runs on my biotch i stick to my previous statements on these forums that the ve loves timing AND fuel. but then, htf am i?
