Blood: What difference you noticed over stock TB and 3" pipe? And how AFR changed from this mod? Retune needed?

Retune and change of the MAF VQ map.

Unsure how to modify the VQ map though (how can you tell more or less value for a given voltage is right?)

That is the shit. I've been wanting to do this for a while. Wish it was as easy to do with a n60

You can get DE or VE maf then?

I used a wideband to scale the stock ve maf vq map till I idled at ~14.7 afr. Installed and no modification the car would idle fine but, it woulnt even drive out the garage. Think I ended up with 160% over stock vq values.

@ cory making this setup was cheaper than the sale price of my n60 maf and pop charger. So get a b14/pathfinder/ve or some afm that the element is screwed in and take it from there. My only disappointment is I have no pop charger. I'm planning to buy a blox velo and filter.

The car hasn't made it to the dyno yet so ill let you know.

Im interest in new numbers.

In theory the airflow through the maf should be proportional to the pipe sizes. Try just calculating the ratio and apply it to the voltages in the VQ table. Hint, the voltages will be quite a bit lower and you will loose resolution in the lower ranges.

Lets say that the original is 3 inches and the new one is 4 inches. The ratio is .5625 so the voltages would be a little more than 1/2 for the same flow.

To be more precise you should use the actual inside measurements from both pieces. Just remember that is proportional to the raduises squared.

I have been putting MAF sensors into aluminu housings for about 10 years now. I like how it looks as it makes the seyp look cleaner. I only do this on certain cars like 2000-2002 G20s

Would be nice if there was a DIY for doing this on all VE and non VE setups. Makes for a much cleaner look.
