Anyone running XTD/ F1 racing flywheel on SR16ve? was it tight fit? fit
Trial fitted the xtd/ f1 racing flywheel last night to sr16ve, bolts line up but seems a bit tight on centre hub, will it fit ? Dont want to tighten it up for fear of damage.

heres a pic of flywheel, like others i ordered xtd but got what looks like this flywheel from "sr flywheels" thread (Weighs 12.4lbs by the way):

Anyone running one of these on their VE?

^ I have one on my VE... It's decent but a tight fit on to the crankshaft.

Thanks Alex, so I will just bolt it up evenly in an x pattern then

How about you measure it against your stock or previous flywheel, if any difference machine it?

12.4lbs seems OK, but a friend of mine weighed his XTD at 10.5lbs before. So the weight is random or what?

You went from a 16.5lbs flywheel to a 12.4lbs?

It's not worth it, IMHO.

I was using a sr16ve flywheel on a sr20 motor and I went Fidanza. They say it weights about 8.8lbs but I think it's a bit heavier. Dont think it weighs as heavy as 10lbs though.

And it gets the job done.

Peace

Why not worth it? Taking 4lbs off the rotational inertia of the engine is not the same as taking 4lbs off random weight in the car. It is worth it. Maybe better to take 8/10lbs but hey.

put one of these on my friends sr16ve an it works fine.. cant say i notice much of a difference between his an my stock de one tho.. but then again his 16ve is considerably weaker then my sr20ve..

Im actually running the SR16ve with an SR18DE LSD box so the original flywheel was SR20 hefty18lbs+ ......so dropping 6lbs isnt too bad for $160 flywheel

I may go fidanza later when funds allow and just stick this in my daily SR20.
Thanks for input all
