Well stupid me didn't even think about how the exhaust is ran on the sr20 fwd. I am thinking I am going to wrap my header to see how that helps oil temps before installing the cooler. I know I will need the cooler regardless but interested to see how much wrap helps by getting rid of that heat right there by the oil pan.

I was getting 270 deg F oil temperatures with wrapped header and downpipe during a track day at 90 deg F ambient.

You can get a cheaper cooler here Transmission Cooler they have different sizes.

The Setrab cooler he has is nice stuff usually around 180ish.

In my efforts to get this installed I've been looking for an oil sandwich adapter with a thermostat in it but also has at least 1 port for the oil temp sensor. I cannot find one for the life of me if anyone knows of one. I am wondering if no one makes it that way because the temps might not be that accurate or the temps will either be before or after the cooling unit which is not ideal?
