I am not hearing my vvl kicking in , is there anyway I can test/check to see if it's coming on

When is the last time you checked your oil levels? Changed you oil?

is it not enguaging or is it always on? check oil, could be what your using for a switch

if you put battery power to each solenoid, u should hear it clicking....

well i didnt change my oill since i did my swap (1 month ago) and i only drive my car during weekends, but ill change the oil asap and try powering the solenoids.

I'd check the solenoids and c if they r clogged or if they are not getting power.
