rr iacv to ve iacv
does anyone know what wires need to be spliced between the roller rocker iacv harness (6 wires) and the ve connector (2 pin) in order for the iacv to work properly with a roller rocker ecu? or if you have spliced in a b14/'99 p11 harness, do you know which wires were spliced/eliminated on the ecu harness?

here's what i'm working with (iacv: black and yellow, aac: orange and blue):

roller rocker iacv harness:

and the wire diagram for the rr iacv harness:

If you look at my B15ve thread. I have asked the same question. I haven't gotten an answer. Supposedly, KRASH and ZEROSIN have done it. I spoke to Greg from GSpec and he said it probably can't be done. I am getting an adapter built so i can use the b15 TB on the Ve intake manifold. If you figure it out let me know too. See this link:

You CANNOT get a RR ecu to control a VE IACV. They are COMPLETELY different. The reason the RR has 6 wires is because it is a stepper motor which is driven in a completely different way.

You can either use you RR IACV or convert to B14 ecu. Most people convert to B14 ecu as it is fairly easy and opens up your tuning options (from nothing worthwhile to several good options).

And to answer the question about which wires it is if spliced/ converted to older style ecu..... It is up to the person who did the wiring... Wire is wire so it doesn't matter and there is no standard for which would be right or wrong.

I didn't notice that he said RR ECU. I am using a b14 JWT ECU. I tried wiring the B15 Connecter into the VE intake manifold and it didn't work. For now what we're doing is taking of the IACV off of the RR Throttle Body and just plugging it in.

Wait what? You can't use RR IACV if you have JWT ecu. It won't be doing anything and you are wasting your time.

Like others have said.... it will run with no IACV.
