Thread: swap questions

This is for a b13 swap, using DE ECU and harness.

1. Can I use the knock sensor from the VE?
2. Can I use the VE oil pressure sender? The one on the DE leaks.
3. There's a solenoid valve next to the BPT valve and a solenoid valve for the canister purge. Do these just plug in to the connectors with no hoses connected?
4. For oil filter, can i use the A32 maxima one? it's a vq30de, after all.
5. The water temp sensors look pretty much the same , but I 've seen posts about using only the DE. However, my DE ones are so old they look like they're coated with something black, while the VE ones are still clean "copper" looking color. Are they really different?

I used all DE just buy new ones they ain't expensive,its easeier to do it while motor is out save urself the headache...
