Proof??

Dynos heres have shown otherwise. I know of a few motors that have made more power with N1's over 184c's

Someone here in AZ did a whole day at the dyno experimenting with diff cam combos. Regular n1 cams came out with the best results. This was back when the brian crower VE cams were being planned.

I dont think he comes on here.

Might have been Cavern aka Jon Via. He tried the 20V cams in his P10 and did various combos with cam gears along with the N1s. The 20Vs sucked in his opinion, especially at higher RPMs. When I had my car dyno tuned at the same tuner he had his done the tuner showed me his dynos and the 20V/N1 comparison with different gear settings. The 20Vs were strong in the midrange but no matter what the cam gear setting they lost 5-8 whp on the big cams compared to the N1s. He had an 8K Calum RT B14 V2 ECU & the tuner was very familiar with it. We had talked about mixing cams whether it was worth trying and Jon was strongly against it, stating that tuning with the N1s only was the only way to go between the two IHO. I've rode in his car on road course days and it pulls very strong to redline. The tune is that you can't tell when the cams switch because the power transition is so smooth and has more under the curve. I guess doing a 20V intake/N1 exhaust would be worth trying but you still should tune the setup to get the best results and even then the gains may be minimal for the work involved. Worth a shot, though.

Proof? Sure, there's tons of it. Doesn't mean anyone is going to share it.

Been proven in FL, NY and in CT (places I know of). That's all I will say.

Dial the cam in, play with cam gears, and find someone who can tune. Then you will have your proof.

Joe,

If you have or know someone with 20v's, send them up and I will throw them in one of the VE's in the shop and dyno the combos back to back.

Sorry but, we dont deal with 2 litres. I think you might have the original version of the 184c

Why not N1 intake and 20V ehaust???
Since the intake port will take advantage of the higher lift and duration since it flows more cfm's than the exhaust port??
I dont know??
Here we have achieved similar hp figures with regular SR16 cams and N1'S just diferent powerband and N1 keep the power after 8000 rpms better
Just my .02
