B14 CEL issues with VE
Hello everyone... Im not sure if this is the right section for this thread but I am trying to figure out a problem im having with my b14.

I am coming up with a CEL and the codes are below:

P1336
P1401

Has anyone come across these issues with there b14 and if so how did you fix them? This car is a stock VE setup with a header and exhaust.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

no egr on ve's so it's going to stay

the other one is probably because your flywheel has too many/too few teeth on it

You can rid of the check engine lights.

Plug in your EGR sensor onto the harness so it gets a resistance reading. Alos plug in the exhasut gas temp sensor. Both of these sensors should be on the motor you took out.

I think he is trying to go through emissions and a CEL is an instant failure.

Yep. Even without the CEL, the code can still show "not-ready" when scanned and he will instantly fail.

Well to get technical for CT emissions if it is under a 2001 you can have 2 monitors not ready and still pass. Unless you have failed for a specific monitor not being ready in the past.... I'm starting to go on my CT emissions craze stop me now lol!

That's cool.

In MD, any monitor that shows not ready is an instant fail.

If you tryin to pass the obII check I would fid out if the state of ct has emissions exempt in other words if you drove less then 5k miles in the past year then you get emissions exempt no obII check or tail pipe Check ! It's great if yon have a spare instroment cluster laying around just set it and put it in for the test . Lol done it plenty of times. Oh and if anyone from PA see's this we have this so do and you didn't hear it from me .
