Are the VVL solenoids -In & Ex- interchangeable?

I know the connector is different but can the intake exhaust solenoid be sued for intake and vice versa?

Is the connector different? Havent checked that out. But hey, its just solenoids...

The connector is different but I think they did that to indicate which is which.

I inspected both solenoids and they are same length and width so it's just a matter of changing the connector.

But it's really for my friend so I will just see if I can lend him a spare intake I have (he wants the exhaust) or see if he can find a qg18 one.
