sr16 Final Drive?
Any final drives avaible for any sr16ve box,

3rd gear is a let down in the sr16ve imo,

So has any one fitted anything higher then the 4.4?

Much difference to accelartion?

Yeah how 3rd a let down. 3rd is way shorter then the std b13 gear box. 4th is the same

its probably because he is running the 1.6 engine. the first 2 gears are nice and short but when you shift into 3rd your at a measly 5400 rpms if you shift at 8k. the 1.6 don't make a whole lot of power down low so it takes a second before the car gets back into its power band. with the extra tq of the 2.0 this is not an issue with the sr16 trans.hell the se-r stock gearing puts you higher in the rpm band from the 2-3 3-4 shifts due to the shorter spacing it just loses out on the longer final drive.

Thats my point I just think theres room from improvment on the accelration in 3rd..
ENver been in one with a 2.0l so cant comment but as you said the length of it usually leaves you waiting a bit for VVL whici is a downfall, but 1st and 2nd are good

Easier and cheaper to go to a 2.0l bottom end.

Hardly cheaper would it?
Mapping for it over here would be expensive

Nistune is around 100usd for basic ECU. There are plenty of .bins avaiable so you are good.

2.0 > 1.6
