Regardless of operator you gained 10 with the cam and header swap I wonder if you may be to lean. You may wanna try adding a tad bit more fuel from 80-95 mph. Only do it on the dyno tho so you can see what happens. Do you have cam gears?

theres your problem man,you need a tune not just 3 runs or so...you need to spend a couple hrs on there

Well, get your dyno files on a usb and dowload the dynojet program, you surely can change the view to something better for you and us all

For the a/f - looks a bit rich before cam switch, and a bit lean up top.
Also looks like you could gain a bit by switching the cams earlier,
smooth out that bump.

Yeah that was bad timing on me. I wanted to go down but you hit me up late on Thursday and by the time you got back at me yesterday I had made some plans.
Will definitely see about the dyno I had used in Oregon City. I had used Unnatural in Beaverton but they skipped town apparently after some bad deals. Is it gonna stop raining?

The powerband looks good and the switchpoint is spot on.

The run where power falls off up top was significantly richer in the upper rpms. Maybe some timing. What did you do with the timing?

Might be time to up it to a 3" exhaust and probably a 3" plastic MAFs like N60 too.

How much is it to rent the dyno there for an hour? Biggest gains will be from tuning, not just throwing parts on the car crossing your fingers that it makes more power. Although there was a 10hp gain peak. Your car has some more potential in it. You need cam gears and a 3in exhaust, then she'll really scream.

Now test it at the track! Wonder what the mph difference will be...

camgears set @ 0,-2

turn on vvl from 5200 and up.. use the dyno to see what rpm is it best to engage vvl
5200 is the lowest i would turn it on i dont go lower unless turbo.

if you do this you will clear 190

as for the af yea your kinda right.. sorta.. it was rich in the low end.. 12.6 or so, an it was like 13.0-13.6 in the top end..

as for the cam gears i sold them, go look at how many people are making nice power with these engines, then ask em if they're using cam gears.. lol imo they were a waste of money.. so i sold em.. (im lookin for top end anyway)

the cam switch point was dead on in my opinion, the cams come on an keep power rising instead of letting the power fall then jump up hard.. nice an smooth!

im thinkin im going to TRYout some thermoblock spacers and i do want to upgrade me maf.. plus some more road tuning to help dial the afr's in a little more.. i dont want 3" exhaust.. but next year im thinkin about gettin a protech header and a custom intake mani..

i adjusted the ignition timing 3 degrees up from where the 185 pull was an 3 degrees down from where the 185 pull was.. lost power both times so i put it back.. an when i say ignition timing i mean in the timing map in nistune..

i think its $120 for an hour.. i gained 2 hp and 3tq by adjusting the afrs

i dont think 3" exhaust is going to help that much, i mean i guess it could but i've seen pleanty of folks get 200hp with virtually the same setup.. i think some more time on the dyno and a proper damn dyno operator an i can get atleast 190 out of her.. (my goal is 200ish) an like i said above, i think im going to get a custom intake mani and a protech header or something.. i may.. just may get bigger exhaust.. but not any time soon ..

im not doin cam gears, from all the reading an research i've been doing.. i dont think they're worth the money.. by the time i rebuy the damn things.. then spend money on the dyno time an all that.. i may not gain squat.. besides im goin for top end.. all i have around here is drag racing so all my time will be spent in the higher rpms
