Shaving head and block adds how much compression ratio?
I realize this is a loaded question, bu I just wannna make sure I'm not going too high in compression. The block has been shaved .006" and the head is getting done now. I'm not sure yet if any will be needed to be taken off. Anyone know the calculation to figure how much my compression ratio will increase per .001 or something of the likes?

My current setup us ve head, de crank, eagle rods, cp 87mm ve 9:1 pistons and the block has had .006 or so taken off the deck. I have a stock metal ve headgasket (what is stock thickness by the way?) and just want to figure out if I need to get a thicker gasket or not.

Thanks for any and all help guys and gals.

I would expect around .1 increase shaving both. 1mm shaved is about 1 point. If you are talking about a small resurface of a few thousandths, then prob minimal. .1-.2CR
