VE Big Block Build....
Hey guys im getting close to the day where i pull my motor apart and sent it out to get sleeved and built.. heres the catch, i already bought pretty much everything besides an ECM... i purchased, eagle rods, cp 12.5 90mm pistons, and darton sleeves... now heres the dilemma....

this is an expensive hobby and i have over 5k into this car so far and being that this is so expensive, i wanna do it right the 1st time... my motto's always go hard or go home and @ the time i was stacking parts the 90mm bore was an obstacle being overcome.. now im reading 92mm this, 92mm that and its got me thinking, should i

(A) put the motor together with what i have now and hope for 11's all motor or

(B) get the mazworks or comparable crank and 92mmm custom cp's and have that put together to give me a fair shot....

im also considering a 6spd conversion but for now the b15 will do if not maybe a 5.0fd for it.. lemme know (this is a b13 chassis)

this is for anyone's speculation and input as im not one to get upset @ u guys like others do lol.... what should i do.. im trying to have this done b4 nissan inf day @etown

im thinkin some of the big dogs like Andreas, mazworx etc will chime in and further assist me in getting this done... THANX guys, and u already know there will be a deep, thorough documentation of the build from start to finish and possibly some videos of track duty

A(2) Put it together and hope for 12s all Motor.

Crank is going to be expensive, if you still wanna spend all that money better get a custom 4-1 header from ASP or somewhere else, and an intake manifold (if you still have no ECU, get standalone with MAP sensor and go crazy on the manifold with some ITBs).

If you have all that kind of money after all that then get the crank and custom pistons and give away your normal 90mm pistons...

Do what YOU want to do or what you have the money for. Dont just go 92 because you see other people doing it.

A few things to point out if you do go big bore:

Your N1 manifold will become a choke point.
Your 4-1 is spec'd for a 2.0, not a 2.2 or larger.
Headwork is a must to get the most out of that displacement.

Ask donttazmebro, he has faced many choke points in his build.

I would hate to see someone slap pistons and rods in a sleeved block and get dissapointed when they only cut fractions off their 1/4mi times.

NA is a thinking man's game, alot of people dont have the stomach to play NA.

i appreciate ur input, im a thinking man..... im just not as knowledgeable in this as some of u guys, and im hoping that till i can get a diff intake mani, the ported polished and velocity stack equipped mani will hold me down, and the 4-1 header i will have along with this will be spec'd for the motor. umm, wat else? the head will be touched as well for the bigger bore/displacement.. on another note. im not doing it cuz other people are, im doing it because its been done b4, im building my car for me.... i just dont wanna take this Motor apart twice unless its to rebuild it...
