Exaust bypass (photos)
well i think that maybe someone wants to see the exaust bypass ..

its pretty cool . silent when you need it . i used a Tercel 95 - 99 muffler because is round nd fits pretty good .

im going to reroute the cable tomorrow and shoot a video of the sound . opened and closed .

im planning on buying a bigger throttle ...

I love my cutout. I dont think I'll ever buy a performance exhaust again. Just watch out for bumps!

me neither . i got the throttle for free nd mounted for 35 . with a base and gasket and everything . and if im going to the drag strip i just take the whole throttle out ( it has two screws with a 12mm nut ) and leave the tube open .

Is this a standard DE throttle 60mm, yes?

Also would it make any difference if you put the throttle somewhere just after the header or where a side exit would normally be?

that throttle is from a Chevrolet Lumina 3.1L .

well .. if you wanna put it somewhere else is better to buy an electric throttle . because if you put it in another place is pretty difficult to pull the cable . other motors have problems if you put the throttle too close to the header . if its a turbo car i think is another story . .

i used my sr20de trotlle body as a cutout on my trailblazer...then to open it i hacked up my old b13 hvac controls + calbe/wire and used the 1-4 lever to open it and hold the tb open ,.....lol sounds soooo nasty when i open it....inline 6 ftw.....

Gotcha, it seems throttle bodies are better than electric cutouts because they dont leak.

Nice one that of the HVAC control to open the throttle. So you had 4 cutout positions???

I guess thats cool. A little ghetto I got my normal cutout for $28 and its 3 bolts to take off. Do you have to hold the string to keep it open?

yes you got it...4 openings...and the calbe behind it was more than enough length to reach th SR tb....i put it right after the cat on my trailblazer.....and the 1-4 hvac swithc is at the bottom of my seat...
