This has happened in 3 different trannies, new gear oil each time.

Just gotta pay attention.

I used to run synchromesh, then changed to royal purple. It feels a little more notchy than the syncromesh so I will probably switch back or try MT90. I have always run gl4 in all my trannies though.

That's the problem, it happens coming out of first gear. Hard to keep wheel spin to a minimum in first.

I hope it's just the cable. It usually only happens at the track or street after launching with quite a bit of wheel spin, if I feather it in first up to 9k to keep the wheel spin down, it will usually shift in 2nd without much of a problem.

I have mine grabbing 3/4 of the way to the floor. I can feel it flucuate distance at the track after beating on it a bit.

Yeah the cable feel is funny. With the clutch I'm using now it has a few inches of free play. It doesn't feel right but any tighter and it will grind and any loser will do the same. Just try playing w it. Idk I actually hope there is a better fix because I hate how much harder it is to shift w the high revs. Good luck.

Get some MTL or MT90. I had this issue with brand new Mobile1 but as soon as i put MT90 in it was like new again.

mine when I miss 2 gear, it tends to be stiff for a while when shifting from 1-2 or reverse, today I tried the syncromesh and it does feel a bit better, I have to test this at the track

^Thats actually what mine did at the track. I missed 2nd and it was hard for a couple days after to get into 1st, 2nd, and reverse. I've been running redline shockproof in it. If Redline makes a syncromesh I will try it out and report back.

What gear oil are you using Cory?

I guess I'm gonna replace the clutch cable and grab some syncromesh unless I can find some mt90 local. I might weld a brace on the clutch cable bracket also just in case it's flexing for good measure.

I'm running mobil1 I think. I've never been picky as long as it was gl4. But after reading this I think I'm gonna try some new stuff.

to prevent so much wheel spin when launching hard you pretty much have to ride the clutch.. i've tried a few methods but riding the clutch is the only way i can launch without shredding the tires..

mine wont shift into 1st unless im at a dead stop... idk if its related to your problem but it sure sucks taking off in 2nd half the time.
