Thread: 20VE cams and Cam Timing?

Is there power to be gained (and where in the rev range?) by adjusting cam timing on a VE with stock 20VE cams? Any suggested settings?

I think i remember sr20turbofreak saying a bit could be gained by retarding the exhaust cam approx 3-4 deg? Haven't heard of anyone who has tried it though. I would be keen to know though

and while you're at it, advance the intake cam the same amount. it's about building cylinder pressure prior to ignition. or some silly theory such as that
