Thread: throttle cable help on ve motor

My back is against the wall need some info on which cable to use for my ve head in a b13. Really dont have any one to fab a bracket, so is a myth or a fact that the 1.6 cable bolts right up.

Just use the cable you have lol.. Unbolt the ve cable bracket, drill a hole between the 2 holes in the bracket.. Now there's a bracket that goes from the head to the plenum.. I've noticed a lot of people remove these, I did on all 3 ve swaps I've done because for 1 the injector harness was in the way an 2 I needed the bolt hole for my throttle bracket.. So at your own discression you can remove that bracket an place the cable bracket there using the new 3rd bolt hole you just created.. Should work nicely..

An I wouldn't worry to much about removing that bracket or the other one because there's 2 heavy duty ones on the back side that attatch to the block.. If I'm wrong then someone say so.. So I can go put mine back on lol
