the current intake to head flange he has will NOT fit the stock injector rail. you must use a top feed rail (which he makes) with it.
to sum it all up.....xcessive can design and manufacture any intake you ask them for. and yes they have a flow bench.
(he doesn't know it yet, but i'm ask him about a custom header later this spring)

So the one they are making for you will be for side feeds?

Thanks for that! I should be able to take some measurements with respect to the stock inlet manifold and ask him to see how it compares. It says on their website that stock fuel rails can be fitted to the flange but custom stand offs need to be fabd? I would rather use the stock rail as I already have injectors that are fine for what I'm doing.

you wont be able to use the stock rail with there head flange. they move the inj to close to the head on there flange. i tried modding the stock rail but it wont work with out major adj. i am running just under 7" runners on my manifold with stock curve to them and the plenum sits just on top of the top heater hose connection. this is after i got rid of the second bleeder (91 b13) and got a hose with a smaller radius bend for the heater. with it straight it will not fit. any longer on the runners and your going to have get rid of the heater core. the factory manifold cheats in several areas to get the long runners and has a very small plenum volume. on the topic of side feeds over top feeds i am using 03-04 cobra inj that i got off ebay for less than $100 that have a way better flow to them than 10 year old side feeds. plus they were brand new!

yes! they are using a little bit of the lower oem mani for the side feed STI injector mounting, then custom runners above that. the top will be finished off with stacks inside the xcessive plenum.
