the distance from the head to the back of the plenum.... or the part nearest to the fire way.

I think the plenum alone will fit fine. I'm more interested in the full manifold.

xcessive is currently making a custom manifold for my big block VE build. check my thread in the western region...."operation sr24vvl". Rich@xcessive has my oem sr20ve manifold in hand. he's a smart guy so i suspect he'll take measurements/dissect it thoroughly. i informed him that the (my) custom mani can extend 1 more inch toward the firewall and upward as well from the oem dimensions (i'm looking for long runners).
the current intake to head flange he has will NOT fit the stock injector rail. you must use a top feed rail (which he makes) with it.
to sum it all up.....xcessive can design and manufacture any intake you ask them for. and yes they have a flow bench.
(he doesn't know it yet, but i'm ask him about a custom header later this spring

)

Haha I was gonna see if they would make one also, since they're nearby it would be easy to drop my car off to have them do stuff
