Ok so I looked at Greg V site and the whole engine gasket kit for a SR20VE is only 160$. So it looks like it could be a good option.

So Does any one know if the SR20VET head gasket is any better than the regular SR20VE metal head gasket???

I plan to stay all motor.... for now. Mabey some spray or light boost later on down the road.

Unfortunately a couple of years ago some asshole riped me off and convinced me to buy a "built turbo motor" pfft.

Well at least now I have like two spare blocks sitting at home and two low port heads and one high port.

One of the block is out a RR motor, wich is almost the same as the VE's, and it's still assembled. shoot me an offer.

I totally disagree. 100% I could swap the motor faster than swapping the head and making sure cam timing is correct when reinstalling, taking the time to tq head bolts properly, etc. That stuff takes time. It's not by a whole lot, but every little bit counts for a daily driver. Plus he could sell his old head for $700 and make most of his money back. Just my 2cents though

And if just replacing the headgasket stick to the VE OEM one, not even the metal VET, because you would have to deck head and block to have it seal perfectly.

Thanks, I just need to find a FSM for the VE, I know the basics but I asume I need to tackle the VE Valveterain to acces the head bolts.



I was searching yesterday on why the VET headgasket was better, but no luck. The car turns on and everything so I'm assuming no major damage was done.



I will be pulling the head off this w/e I don't have much time during the week. But if I decied to part it you get dibs on the bottom end.
