Top end gains the 1.6 cams will net you more. Now low end into the mid range before the VVL crossover the 20V cams are night and day compared to the SR16 cams. Not only will you see the difference on the dyno but, you will also feel them when driving the car.

High revving is the purpose of this engine. If you wanted low end torque go diesel or turbo.
The b*tch gotta scream, not groan.

Are you sure? Look at you tachometer in some slower corners.. i bet you will be under 4k rpm with big wheels and stock long geared tranny.

Just because it's a high revving motor does not mean that it doesnt need good low end/midrange. Driving around town with sh!t for low end like most of honda's vtec motors, makes for a horrible driving experience.

With a good mapping I'm pretty sure you also can get a nice midrange. And N1's are easier to find and friendlier on the springs.

Yeah kicking the cams over is fun. But a lil extra if u just passing someone. Daily driving. So low mid range would be benifitual.

Keep coming up with excuses, it doesn't change the fact that people like different powerbands. Some are more interested in area under the curve, not peak "bragging rights" hp.

There is also the 20v low/n1 high combo cam for those that want both.
