question about 20v cams
Is it worse to run 20V cams on stock springs then N1 cams?

since they have less lift than N1 cams I'm gonna go out on a limb and say No.

SR20VE 20V cams are the most aggressive cams in % to lift vs duration. 20V cams will probably be the first cam to float valves.

20V cams must be run with springs and retainers in my opinion.

20v has much improved mid range and similar power to the sr16 cams. I think the N1 make just slightly more top end, but not sure.

Everyone I've talked to says the 20V ramp angles work a lot better for the 2.0 and give a ton more torque.

i thought the N1s made the most power. wasnt that the point of the 20v lows and N1 highs combo cam or something of the sort?

that sounds interesting. mid range torque would be more enjoyable than top end power. so 20v cams with the supertech valve springs would be great.

side q? are retainers nesasary? what is the benifit? just weight savings on the valve train?
