Thread: SR20VE with SR16VE N1 cams: oilpump, waterpump?

Within 2 months I will have a set of N1 cams in my SR20VE.
Stock valve springs & stock retainers with an 8500 rpm rev limit.

Question: will the oilpump and waterpump keep up?
Do I need to use thick oil? Currently I'm using Motul 8100 X-Cess 5W40.

Of not, what to do?

Sparkplugs are NGK BKR7-EIX, just for the record.

get the cams and star kiling some hondas and forget about everything.

The oil pump will keep up, the water pump people put a bigger pulley to slow it down for constant high rpms.
