^8200? I'll be running the N1's at 0,0/straight up.

Reese, I haven't had a rev limiter on mine because I cant set it higher than 8k without going with an aftermarket limiter. N1's, stock s/r, 9k. I am careful not to go over, but there have been a few instances in first gear where it spun a little faster than expected, but not over 9500 for sure.

^Due to the build I'm doing, I decided to go ahead and get some BC springs for a piece of mind. Is it necessary to replace the retainers as well when I do this?

You don't necessarily have to do the retainers. If you have the extra cash, I would probably do it. I am going with just BC springs with stock retainers on mine.

We didn't have a rev limiter on the car for the longest time. It wasn't until recently that the car had a rev limiter set to 9K which I abused the living hell out of when I still have N1's with stock S/R's. Grab that new MSD unit with 2 step.

No, you don't. Unless you just have your heart set on spending the cash
