Thread: VE+B15 Tranny problems

i had thought about doing that before i put the damn thing in. but now i dont even want to take it out since that would mean loosing a lot of way too expensive redline oil lol. its just odd to me that this is the second axle that does this.

I have this same problem as well i tough it was just the seal. A internal issue will suck indeed

jack up the driver side only and you will not loose any fluid while fixing the axel. I agree the c clip is loose and it is not staying seated.

i still lose fluid. i have to have the car almost vertical for none of that damn shock proof not to come out. so far, i have driven the car about 20 miles and it has not happened again.

sounds like the tranny is over filled.

its what i figured at some point. but its always been fully drained and just in case it has a bit still in there i tend to put 3 quarts in it and measure it per FSM. so its right where it suppose to be according to the FSM. believe me when i say i have spent over 100 bucks on just buying oil making sure i didnt over fill it. i just like to be sure its done right lol

You have to drain shock proof when its hot to come close to getting in all out. It does coat the gear stacks. I have drained mine and then taken the tranny apart and found 1/2 quart of fluid on the gears and hiding in the case.

Not sure what fsm you're going by or if there's a difference in qt's from a b13-b15. Maybe that's your problemo?
