no 2 and no 3 plugs covered in oil...
had problems with the car for a bit, car would bog down when getting to around 4krpm onwards...started to check if cams were switching on, checked solenoids, they were fine, removed them to make sure there weren't any blockages, none found, checked all other stuff, but not plugs, doh....

so got round to checking them today, #1 and #4 were dry, with signs of it running rich, but #2 had slight amount of oil on it....pulled #3 and was shocked to see it totally covered in oil...

check the pic...

suppose I could say I found the cause of my problems...didn't have any time to get the VC off today, will do over the next couple of days, but wanted to know, as most of the oil was on the plug thread, am I right in fearing this is worse than just a problem VC gasket?...

change valve cover grommets around when you remove the cover... get the set, you'll be fine.

what he said^^ the stupid rubber groments are failing on your. u just need new ones
buy a valve cover gasket kit. The rubber groments come with the kit. I dont think you can buy them seperate... but then again im not 100% sure

ok cool, thats no biggie, as you can buy them seperately to the VC gasket, though think I will replace the VC gasket as well...

was just worried cause there was hardly any sign of oil above the plugs, assume it all seeped past the plugs whilst the car has not been driven for a while, or when I undid he plugs...

lol no missed gears....

got the VC off today, when the rain stopped for about 10 mins...doh..

as mentioned in here, the gasket was leaking around 2 and 3, gasket is rock solid feels more like plastic then rubber, so defo needs changing..

could do with a clean under the cover as well, as the pics show, a bit too brown under there...
