ve clutch suggestions
soon im going to be swapping and im buying things prior to the swap to make it as easy as possible,

setup going in my 91 ser
sr20ve
fuji headers
thermo spacers
3 inch exhaust
intake
msd switch
ecu

now i plan on just having an all motor maybe cams later, my question is which would be a better buy, gspec 2.0 stage 3 or this kit from ebay?

reason i ask is because they are both around the same price but the ebay exedy kit comes with a 8.5lb fidanza flywheel

EXEDY CLUTCH KIT& FIDANZA FLYWHEEL SENTRA NX G20 SR20DE : eBay Motors (item 390089950726 end time Apr-01-10 10:28:36 PDT)

Clutch Kit Bundle, 2.0, Stage 3, Stg 3 : JWT Pressure plate with 2k SE disc, t/o bearing and clips,

thanx in advance

If I was to go with an exedy you have to go stage 3. If oem, the b15 SE clutch disk and jwt pp which is what I have in my car right now and I like it very much with my ve. Between the two, since I have a fidenza, b15 SE clutch disk and a no name oem pp, I'm pretty happy with how it feels. Tight, no slippage, and able to be driven in stop n' go traffic without straining my leg to do so

From that Exedy link:

From the description, that does not qualify to hold the power of a VE with I/H/E.

You will have waaaaaaaaay more power than stock. We have 122'ish whp stock OEM from the factory.

You will have....175-185 whp. At least, no doubt about it. That is roughly 40-50% more power to the wheels than stock OEM.

Therefore, while you get a "bonus lightweight flywheel", the actual clutch itself is not going to hold your power.

I have a bolted-on DE, no cams. My plan is a VE with I/H/E. I talked to GregV and did some reSearch here on the forum. I went with the GSpec Stage 3 bundle that you have linked. I LOVE it. Feels very stock to me, easy to depress the clutch, smooth as butta engagement, and I know it will hold a bolted on VE with no issues.

If you want a lightweight flywheel (and you should, they are terrific) then spend the extra money and buy it separately. I've had a Stillen LW-flywheel for several years now (with an ACT clutch that sucked, and now my GSpec Stage 3) and love it as well. Took me about ten whole minutes to get used to it.

While you're at it, get an Andreas Miko Tranny Saver Bracket.

''daiki'' something like that) nd it works extremely good for me . in traffic it pushes up a little bit but softly . nd pretty durable, more than what i expected

Everyone has personal preferences.... Me, I use what no ever references... ZOOM. I'll date myself just a tad. Running big bock GM motors years ago, it was the clutch of choice. I put one in the SE-R that I had and got the stage II in my ve egg. Does the job for me. My 2 cents..

I hate to be the one to say this but wow. There is another one of these same threads like every other day.

Get a stage 1 exedy. Cheap as hell and did great on my set up. Almost 220whp and 12sec slips
