i recently received a nistune r/t board for my sr20ve b13..sent them the bin for my setup ve inj/n60 maf/sr16 cams(non n1)/8000 redline(previously running calum basic setup for ve with stock cams)to be installed as a base...only problem is that with the nistune car is running lean at wot.when i install the calum basic board it runs fine at wot...my ? is would it be fine to run the calum basic with the sr16 cams,considering the bin is for stock cams..what would be the pros and cons of doing it..its only temporary cause cars getting dynoed next month

The car will be fine with the stock bin with sr16 cams.

you would be ok and ones you go to the dyno you we see whats happening to the car in my cars the calum basic held more power up top but with the other program the car was difrent but for your question yes it will be ok

good to hear guys thanks....so from what im getting the stock bin just wont make as much hp with the sr16 cams compared to the sr16 bin...the guy thats gonna tune my car(howard from rlz engineering)said he can find out whats wrong and fix the leaning out at wot once we get it on the dyno,i cant wait.i will post #'s

If your going to do a tune on the car then yeah it really doesn't matter at all.. but if your just gonna make 3 runs or whatever. Id say just start at 12ish degrees base and keep adding a couple degrees. I bet you'll end up making best power around 15 degrees anyway.

I have a sorted map for a 2.1 VE build with 13.4:1 comp and 16VE cams. This would be more than suitable for your engine.

He is better off with his current map.

Im curious to see your timing map with that compression. Would you mind posting it or PMing it to me? If not, I totally understand.
