looking at you photo there is a big gap where the o-ring should seal on the oil filter housing. If the o-ring in the housing is not at that location then you have the wrong adaptor. What was you solution? 8 mths. later as Shawn B pointed out?
^that's what I'm saying, it was the wrong adapter. The threading on the adapter was not deep enough for the ring to seal. If you're talking about something other than the rubber O-Ring that goes in between filter and the bracket, then it was not included in the "kit".
We ended up sending it back and scratching the idea since we were in a rush.

iv got the same adapter.. i just made a small shim from an old oil filter.. removed the rubber o-ring in the adapter and used an o-ring from the oilfilter :-
job sorted..
