I leave my harness in for this very same reason. Recheck all your connections and grounds, hook up your alty & check all your fuses, interior and in the engine bay. Test the starter to make sure there are no issues with it. We'll assume that your battery is fully charged.

ok, sooooooooooooooo the problem was:

when my friend disconnected the starter to transfer it to the ve he accidently undid the nut on the other post .. so i put the lil wire thing back on an hooked it up.. no biggy right??

WRONG, i had it angled so that when i put the power wire on the starter it was touching that ground strap thing or whatever.. so as soon as i put power to the harness it grounded out..

so what happend was the ignition fuse blew..

what i did was took my multimeter and started popping fuses one by one, i took a wire and put it in the + of the battery an stuck it in one end of the fuse, while i took the ground on my multi meter an put it on the - of the battery then i just touched the + on the multimeter to the other end of the fuse, they were all fine, showin like 12.something volts.. till i got to the ignition one that is.. which only had 0.05 lol so right away i knew i'd found the problem.. i took the one from my se-r popped it in, she fired right up!

it was located in the little box between the battery an driver side fender.. so everyone knows..

Yep, I know that fuse box well. Often overlooked but crucial in in troubleshooting electrical issues. Glad you found the problem, go have some fun with the new toy!
