Notice that we picked up about 10 hp & 10 tq at 5200 and were better by almost 25 hp and 20 tq at 5600. We did this by lowering the crossover. We traded a few hp at the top end. And the car drove incredibly smoother, but still had a solid hit at switch. We could have moved the point lower and picked up a little more, but Kimme dd's this car and when she keeps it on the low cam she gets close to 30 mpg.




Two switch points:
3 runs from a tuning session with RJ. With 2 switch points we were able to get an extremely even curve. There is no way to do that when the cams switch together. This car just keeps pulling through the crossover, no big jump:



I'm a noob at tunning but I did notice that I had more top end when I had them both switch at 5k. Seems to be the same case in the first graph.

I have the the Granatelli Window Switch, and I can switch them individually but I really didnt notice any change when the intake cam kicked in so I switched back to a single crossover.

Can any one explain this?? Why do you get more peak HP when you activate the cams later?

It's the same amount of lift no matter at what rpm it swithces... right?
