@Jimithin7000 - Go big bore. You have to many nice parts not to. You will be kicking yourself later. Build it right if it's not the daily. Those gears are going to come fast with the tranny you have with a big bore build. Not sure how you would like driving it on the interstate either lol. RPM's sitting way high! This is why I put together a reliable fully bolted DE build to focus on a N/A VE monster and my other trick.

@Joe - I'll be in touch Joe. I guess the thing you will have to worry about most is being able to tune in the high HIGH RPM's. Will the RT limit you up top?

Tunercode FTW!

You can tune your RT to 12,500rpm no problem

not that anyone is revving that high

^Why were you limited on the NIStune? Was that not a RT version? I guess I should go read that part in the teaser thread again.

^I thought so. I found this post below.

I will say:

-It made much more HP from 3-9k compared to my last dyno.

-Keeps making power to 8250rpm, where it then goes rich from limit of tunability from the Nistune board.

-Cams were left at 0,0

-This was done with the stock IM.

-I used a 4-2-1 spec'd for a 2.2 with a 2-3/8 greddy cat back. Made most HP with the exhaust on.

-The car lost 5 whp open header.

For all who want to go with 16VE pistons in a 20VE, go for it. With a good tune you will be fine on 93 pump.

^So the Calum RT is still where it's at if you can get one? Man this should be a great thread. Sorry for going off topic a bit, but I thought this information would be relevant.

It was a firmware limitation which was solved by Dave Dunn. When you purchase the V2 realtime you will recieve the corrected firmware which allows you to tune past 8k. I never tuned with the V2. I will use tekkies for now until my v2 comes in.

Nistune works fine past 8000rpm.
Just scale the RPM to where you need it.
