well i have a sr16.sr20 hybrid, but im kinda stuck because i dont know what else i can add to my combination.

i already have ..

engine

-sr16 pistons with 305+ of compression .
-sr16 cams w/o stock sprockers ( i have a non adjustable set of sprockers set to 2.5/5.0 or near ).NOT INSTALLED ON IT .
-BC springs .
-8cw balanced crank .

Custom tranny with 4.17 final ratio LSD.

i was thinking maybe upgrading cams, but im worried about clearance. I want a rough idle, so need a pretty good cam. i was thinking in a custom one. what i need to make some custom cams or what do you recommend ?

another thing i was thinking on improving is electricity . boosting it with something . MSD coil or something similar. what do you guys think ?

something else was the 4.44 final ratio . i think that my tranny with 4.44 would be more bad ass than the one with all the short ratio gears .

im going to buy a APEX SAFC II to activate the cams .

now im going to ask.. my goal is to make at least high 12 on slicks on full interiors . what else you recomend on improving .

thanks in advance

Idk what you have for now but get a nice header, N1 cams and tune it and work on driving. Depending on weight 12s are deff possible.

I ran 12.9@105 w 210whp at 2400lbs w driver

if you want a rough idle get a DE and put JWT S5 cams in it

vvl is made to have a smooth idle

You will not have clearance issues with 16ve pistons and N1 cams if you choose to upgrade. You can always lock the cams on the big lobe if you really want a lumpy idle, just raise the idle to keep the motor from dying. I would not recommend you do that though.

Also, the 4.44 fd will make a very noticeable difference and I would say that should be your next upgrade.

Personally I think the aftermarket ignition is going to be a waste of money.

im planning on buying the 3g b18 header and modify it . the previous owner of my current b13 chassis was ''mercado ser'' ,he modified a 3g header for his sr20ve with good results .

well.. will forget about rough idle. is just that i like it .

well i was planning in just boosting it with a MSD coil and install a 6al for limiting, because my ECU doesnt limit .

but if the coil is a waste of money i will just put something to limit the revs .

Btw before you go wasting your money. The safcII will not switch your cams..... you'll need a vafc or you can get a simple rpm activated switch much cheaper..
