So I replaced the rotor. Did the whole ignitor swicharoo with the o2 sensor plug and vice-versa. No go.

Not too sure weather if the fans are supposed to kick in when i reconnect the dist plug with the key on ACC. I also hear a noise on the fuel rail.

I also checked for spark right now... I'm getting a very very weak spark. I'm going to try another distributor tomorrow.

Yep, sounds like there is too much unburnt fuel in the cylinders. So you checked the plug wires to make sure they are in the correct firing order? If you are using the VE dist, double check the wiring.

Yup. Keeps popping.

The wires are in the right firing order. Checked it like 20 times. It has the DE dist.

How are the grounds on the intake manifold? Cleaned up nicely? Sometimes they can break inside the wire loom of the harness and look ok but actually be nonfunctioning.

As far as how I said for the O2 sensor and ignitor clips, usually the ignitors clip is closer to the coil clip. The O2 sensors one should be closer towards the front.

Do you have a volt meter? I would start going through things like the ignitor, coil, distributor, etc until I find something funny. My car actually would not start and I figure out I had some bad wires and weak power getting to parts.

lol 48hr turnaround

The grounds look good but at this point will check everything. I think I'm just going to pull the harness out and start all over again.

I have a multimeter and will check all ignition parts. thanks.

Is the cam timing spot on? I had all the same symptoms as you with my DE, and it just turned out I had skipped a tooth when putting the head back on.
