if the car's been sitting for that long, you may have bad fuel. have you done a compression check on the motor? last time I experienced popping it was due to bad fuel and 2 dead cylinders. That's what happened on Gino's B13...the first motor he bought at Soken was bad and there was about 2 or 3 gallons of bad gas in the tank. We tried filling the tank without taking the bad gas out and that didn't work. We had to syphon(sp?) all the gas out and put in fresh gas.

Not too sure weather if the fans are supposed to kick in when i reconnect the dist plug with the key on ACC. I also hear a noise on the fuel rail.

I also checked for spark right now... I'm getting a very very weak spark. I'm going to try another distributor tomorrow.

B careful cuz I also heard you can fry the ecu by swapping the o2 sensor plug w the ignitor That's a sure sign that your ecu might b damaged if your fans come on as soon as you turn the key forward or you cts is bad. Good luck.

No compression check yet. I'm going to do it tonight.

^^ I tried 2 ecu's and they were both used after the swicharoo. So ecu's aren't fried.

Do you have a cat? Maybe check all the wiring on the ecu plug to make sure some isn't loose. I was thinking fuel pump but since you got fuel then thats not it either.

^^ yes I do. I'll check the harness tonight. I think I'm just going to pull it off and start over.

I'm going to lean with something in the harness since you pulled it out of the car when u pulled the motor. Grab that volt meter and start doing a continuity test's i'm sure there is something broken.

Check the cat if it clogged.

That wouldn't have anything to do with it right now. I'm saying that because I have it open downpipe.

So my lil bro went looking thru the wires and i did a small wire tuck and he found a plug wasnt connected all the way.

Point of the matter, SHE'S ALIVE!!!! I'm going to do the compression check in a bit to report the numbers.

Thanks for the help.
