It requires a lot of sucked air to require that amount of fuel, I don't know if your car is the most powerful in the N/A scene but what I know it is one of the more consistent.

Very nice, keep up the good work. Im sure with some simple changes you have in mind and a better track and cooler weather you will reach your 10 second goal. No doubt.

Were you doing bracket racing or another all motor class? Yeah your car is definitely consistent though which is great for bracket racing. I used to love bracket racing with my n/a se-r back in 03-04. Except we would have about 80 cars competing. I placed 2nd several times. Always ended up redlighting lol. Got too anxious. But i was killer at the tree usually cutting .5XX most of the time on the .500 tree. Fun stuff man. Keep it up.

mrspecc his name is rocco but his numbers dont work with his traps. iirc this past weekend he was doing 106-108. so something is off.

i dont want to clutter up the thread but this past weekend was the first time i was able to make a pass at the track with the car. its very evident that the b13 trans with 23.5 slicks is way wrong gearing for a 2.4. i should have taken a note from cory here and just got a 4.7 fd and 22" slicks i bet it will shave over a second off my time. i also need to shed some weight on the car. i only had the back seat out and the ac in the engine bay out every thing else is still there so figure 2500lb car with me in it. oh and the 105mph was me missing 2nd lol

Funny thing is though Rocco is that even though the 22s and 4.785 might look great on paper for whatever reason the 23.5s still go faster. With this new set up as well as last years. And by a lot! With the same 60ft times on both slicks the 23s pick up almost a full tenth and a full MPH. So save those slicks. Now I need to get some 23x8x13s

Another thing to think about is even w the stock de trans and 23s I was trapping 112 with 2400lb car back when it was making 259whp. So I'm not sure what else it is bit something is slowing your traps down

that worked for you because you were able to do that all in 3rd gear because of the power band.

9000 RPMs with 23in slicks is about 113MPH
Your peak power was in the 8900-9200 RPM range.

So as you can see that worked out perfect for you.

The 2.4L is another problem because Rocco is left in no mans land.

8000 RPMS is 101 MPH and 9000 RPMs 113 MPH with 23 in slicks
Rocco's peak WHP is at 7800 RPMs to 8200 RPMs and the power fall off very quick after that.

He is in a damn if you do damned if you dont situation.

If he shifts to 4th he is fucked as he is no where in the power band pushing a very long gear and if he holds out 3rd he is fucked because his power is dropping off very quickly and he is losing valuable time, space and HP.
