That's 100% True, but it would be crazy to have like a 700 hp P11. I am sure anyone would enjoy those numbers. Anyway, whatever the numbers will come out to, it'll be a great build.

i have zero interest in having a 700hp p11. Save those numbers for a rwd guy who can use that power. As morgan said im building this for me, not to compete with anyone elses setup. Like i said before, this is a full wieght street car and i want to keep it reliable fun and relatvely simple. I have a goal in mind and i hope i can get their.

thats only half true. you saying you wouldnt like all the props/respect that come with building a record breaker or somthing that everyone else loves has mag features etc.. its great building something you love but when everyone else loves it aswell it adds to your own personal enjoyment..

id just like to see 1000whp barrier broken in a street FWD SR20 car for the shear technical side of it like i said before it would be pointless but damn it would be somthing to talk about!

I agree with Alex. Personal satisfaction is my motivation to build, not to please someone else. I don't follow the crowd but I'm sure a lot of members like the accolades that come with showing your work and being praised or flamed for your efforts. Personally don't need the props/respect to meet my standards of a well built ride and mine are pretty high. On the opposite end there is a desire of a lot of members to share and connect with others on breaking new ground, showing their rides in new or current builds and gaining the approval of a job well done. It's a very important ingredient in the success of this forum. Some of us just don't need to please others to get the job done.

Very well said. It usually takes car guys a very very long time to figure out that when they build their cars for them that is when it is most satisfying.

I use to share a lot about my car back in the days because I enjoyed feedback from others. Now I keep things under wraps and to tell you the truth I enjoy it more that way. I know what I want out of my car and what I am going to do with it. I share with very few people what my plans are with my Classic. Everything this time around is what I want. Not what others think.

Now I do enjoy posting and sharing a few things but, certain things I keep to myself. The forums are very different these days. Eveything that is done is challenged and over thought by a lot of people.


To the OP. Stick to your guns and do you when it comes to your P11. It is a great looking car and it seems like you are in the right direction with it.

I admit i like sharing my builds but i can also tell you that i build my car for myself. And you guys can vouch for that. You have given a lot of input both positive and negative about my builds especially my last setup. Some saying it wouldnt make good power because i was using a cheapy rwd ebay manifold and blah blah. But i built it for me, and did it the way i wanted and guess what, it turned out great, made more power than a lot of people on here, and ran hard as hell and the motor is stil in great shape after a year.

I enjoy the feedback both positive and negative. It gives me motivation to prove some people wrong by keeping things simple. Not flashy or fancy because alot of times that gets you nowhere.

I have some plans up my sleeves that only a couple people on this forum know about that i didnt publicly post. A major key in my build that i changed up and wanted to go a different route on. it wont be posted up until its all said and done, numbers put down and all.

Only my closest friends know about it and im gonna keep it that way. Its one of those things that i can tell you right now i would get a lot of negative comments on and why did you decide to do that kinda things. I dont even want to go there right now so thats why. Im doing it for me and noone else.

I agree on building your car to please you and thats all that matters and i have always done it that way.

And your right Rob, there are some car guys that just follow the likes of others in their builds and never think outside the box and come up with new things and push things to new limits. Its those that do think outside the box and not follow in footsteps of others that develope some of the best results and coolest builds out there.

I didn't actually mean to throw the dyno chart out there so you can compete with that. It might have looked that way. I am just saying it would be crazy to have a P11 like that. Whatever numbers you get will be great as long as you're happy with your car.
