Imo you should run normally 22-8-13 or 23- 8 1\2- 13 and more close gear ratios on a good track maybe making 1.8 60ft you could hit good numbers. Why try with sliks if the honda guys have make their work on that. You should see some cars with same whp and torque, what they use and if they got good results try them. The only thing I dont understand is when you say that you like longer gears at least third, imo, shorter will give you maximun push along the racetrack,

Props to my boy Cory! I demand some vids!

You still have a ton of power being held back. I see at least 275 in the near future.

your saying 275 with what diff cams and a header ? that i think is a long shot. but if it actually happens, no doubt.

Different cam, header and IM. His IM held him back as far as flow after his port job.

Car feels good. Doesn't feel that much crazier then the 220whp motor until I look down a the speedo. Its really smooth and just keeps pulling hard all the way to 9k. Id really like to see what happens when I get a header more suited for this et up on it. Its such a smooth steady pull it doesn't feel all that fast just because its so smooth and not peaky or violent.

Second gear will break loose if I roll into it at 5k. And ofcourse 1st gear is useless.

Yeah the intake is holding me back around 30cfm, and I know the header could use much improvement. Also id like to tackle those and then drop in a better cam. I really don't think 270 would be very hard to hit considering everything. But damn I still have a hard time believing the parts I do have amt this much power it is crazy. The header was just a simple thing I did with a friend in a shed a few years back lol. And the intake is far far from ideal. there is more power to be had no doubt, question is is it worth all the trouble. Well I don't think it is for me at this point. But maybe end of summer or over winter ill re work some of the key parts and see what I can come up with. This power level is plenty to keep me happy for now.

Quit playing man, that thing rips out!

Good to see this simple build gave you such great results. Miko's been saying it for a long time, and you put together a great setup. Yeah 260whp would be good for me too...lol.

thats what its all about man. smoothness, theres nothing better then crisp constant power. i know exactly what your talking about, after my tune my car was a different animal.

exactly 259whp in car that weights 22-2300 is no joke regardless of how its made. the fact that your making that all motor when alot of people didnt think it could be done 5 years ago is awesome. enjoy it, run some really good times. over the winter get to work and see if you can make more.

the best thing about this sport is that we are always in contest with our selves and or motors to see if we can push that last hp out of it. at least for some of us right.
