Thread: sr20ve vvl swap questions

well im new here dont know to much about sr20ve motors so just wondering. i would like to do a vvl swap and boost it .. what would be needed to swap the motor in a b13 and what needs to be done as far as mounts,wiring harness,trans, im thinking maybe a p11 or qr trans so what would be needed for that.. can i use the ve wiring harness or if i use my de harness what would have to be done to it... any other information that would help.. thanks

As long as you have a Se-r, the swap is very straight forward. As for mounts, you can use the stock ones but I would reccomend that you get the prothane solid mounts from greg v at gspec.com. And for wiring it is very simple. All you need to do is extend the grounds on the back of intake manifold by a few inches and extend the plugs for the IACV from the VVl motor to your harness. You will also need to get some type of switch to activate the cams. The MSS by Greddy works the best IMO.

is the greddy mss easy to install and to program?
