I am using ACT heavy duty pressure plate and oem replacement disc made by exedy.

Holds fine.

My next set up will be Fidanza 3.2 or 4.3 kit and maybe with a Fidanza lightweight flywheel.

Peace

For those looking for the same set up as jwt. You should know that what it is a stock oe pressure plate that's been heat treated. So if u want the same thing for less, buy a exedy stock replacement or just a stock clutch... like I said it will hold just fine unless your going big bore or stroked..

wtf? his blew up.

i don't have the money for a jwt/b15 setup. but i have been reading that the act hd with b15 would be simalar..

That is me .

Yes my disc blew up. I will however highly recommend the pressure plate that comes out of the 06-802 racing stage 1 kit. IT is NOT the same as the exedy stock replacement. I have seen them side by side and the finger thickness and amount of fingers are different.

I do believe my issue was the POS TOB that came in the kit. I put a b15 disc and plate in after that and it couldn't handle the 190ish tq I was putting down.

So for my opinion I would say exedy racing PP, OEM disc, TOB, and get new clips. Other good ones are JWT and nismo for PP. I like the OEM disc as long as it's still coming like the b15 with the dual springs and more protection for the springs.

for me a little expensive but the best decision in my life... ACT HD PP and Street Disk $390 but feels great no slip after a few runs in the track... well just perfect for me

If that is true, then they've also moved the fulcrum for the diaphragm springs (to make pedal effort less) and added stiffer diagram springs (to increase the clamping force).

Couple firends have told me that its just a heat treated oem.. I guess to know for sure you'd have to ask jwt

Man I love thefeel of this setup. The springs didn't bust loose the metal pieces were stuck in the corners. Making it so I couldn't shift. Now that I remember the effort was harder too. And I did the oem short shifter mod and shifter bushings too. Man what a difference! Thanks benfarmer I think u posted the thread that had real directions on the short shifter thing.

update the b15 disc blew up i think it's diffective. one spring came out. i didn't even beat on it. i put a disc in i got from work by this japanese company. looks allmost identical to the b15 disc. only two of the springs are double sprung though. i'll post the name and part number later.
