Thread: couple of questions issue with dizzy

hey guys me again I have a couple of questions

well first the situation seems to be that the ignition coil its not giving the spark that its suppose to(its too weak)Im using the VE dis with VE ecu

1- if I use the De dist with external coil, will it work ok with the ve ecu?

2-how bad can this affect my car(low spark)

how do you know its getting low spark?

if you pull out any of the wires(brand new also as spark plugs) you can barely see the spark if you put it close to the block or any metal part

thats not a good way to test spark bro.. seriously..

stick a screw driver in the spark plug wire hole an hold on to it, have someone crank the car a few times, it'll shock the crap out of you lol.. i gurantee you wont be thinkin it has weak spark after that hahahahah..

seriously tho i do believe they make testers for this type of thing..

you are totally right dude, thats what I thought but my mechanic test it that way so it will be the crap out of him lol

but thats what he think and he has saw a lot of vvls here in CR

ground the spark plug on the vc and you will see the spark.
