Can't tell
I can't tell if I hooked up the solenoids wrong - Here's a photo:
Red wire goes right to the battery

Help?

It doesn't matter at all.. as long as you have a power and ground. The two that match are technically the grounds but like I said don't worry about.

I gotta ask - with the rpm set at 4800 to activate and deactivate, I can't hear a difference in the changeover. Does that mean vvl isn't kicking in?

same issue as me take out the solenoids and apply direct current to each one if you hear the click they are fine if you can hear it maybe they are clogged in oil like mines just get a good solvent a fine screwdriver and presurised air and try to get the oil out and try again it happened to me ... Good Luck!

If you think you've got a bad selenoid just jump each one, you'll hear it click. Do it w the car off so you can hear.
