Not sure exactly what you're asking. What's going to make a 4-1 header good is having a rotational firing order within the collector. Having a good collector (this is key and where the money is spent). Having a stepped design is better. Having the primary and secondary pipe length tuned for your intended use is another thing that makes them great. A proper collector outlet size (sometimes called a "choke") is also important, as is the smooth transition from the smaller choke size to the overall exhaust size. Then you get into material choice and which is best. Titanium, stainless steel, carbonized steel, etc. I think inconel fits in there somewhere.
