How is the 4-1 not superior, it obviously makes more power under the curve. I guess what you people don't realize is that you can tune a 4-1 header for different power bands.

But the point is moot as most of the people on this forum don't have the ability or money to run a proper 4-1 setup.

I wonder what it ended up costing after the retro fit. And if they changed the cylinder grouping.

There its no questioning about a properly designed 4-1 its superior to a Tri Y design but we are taking here of a alternative to a DIY custom Tri Y header... For those ones dont want to spend $700+ on a budget header...
I bet he didnt spend more then $350 on the complete header here in PR welders are cheap...

Honestly all this 4-1 vs tri y is such bs. The truth is whatever header is built for your motor will be best..

If you were to spec out a 4-1 header for a given engine you will make more power.. but again if you go spec out a tri y header for a given engine it will most likely do just as well.. the tri y will just cost more in the end because it will most likely use more material...

Good luck with this dudes idea, hope it works out for what he is trying to do. We all know this is not going to be the greatest header of all time. And that's not what he's going for, hope it does well and good bang for his buck !
