Looks like it hangs really low past the crossmember.

This is not a bolt on affair, nor an easy modifying task. I can't tell you exactly what was done because I was not involved: I just dropped the car at the shop.

The fabricator is very experienced and told me he had a hard time with this, because he did not want to shorten the secondaries to avoid losing power. I think he had to add length to two primaries though. He also pointed out that it would make more power than the 2.5" SSAutochrome. Car feels better in the top end with the sprockets still at 0 / 0

The car is on B14 Road Magnets and is not that low, but the header is very low. I'd better think about putting some sort of guard plate because this picture was taken just two days after I put the header and already a dent on it.

Make skid plate and it will live longer.

looks really nice, I made the skid plate for mine and it survived coz it is attached on the corssmember...and it feels a lot stronger than the SSac...

one thing ive noticed just now on my custom tri Y is the 3rd Y is too short and i am thinking to make it long and move the flexpipe after the flange....

I hope it makes more power

Most all of these headers are too short. there tuning length is far beyond what we redline at. The longer the better. A 4-1 with proper length/dia I have not seen made yet for these engines. We need to find a very good header made for Honda with proper tuning for a 2.0L this will make the most power, since I know some of the Honda performance parts actually have mathematics behind them.

Of course, we could just spend our money and time on the intake manifold which will net much higher increase in volumetric efficiency vs a tuned header.

I would shy away from anything that doesn't match the displacement of the engine you are working with. Mass flow will be different, therefore your target primary diameter will be different. For the ve, stick with 2.0L header designs.

Here's my custom 4-1 header. It's slip fit and stepped. Excuse they are a bit dirty here.

I want to have a different slip fit collecter made up to test out a different size collector, and then also have slip fit secondaries made up that convert this 4-1 into a 4-2-1 in order to compare the two back to back. My 1 and 2 is a little longer than 3 & 4 though.
