Well we pressed gears off and on our 16ve transmission soo.... verified in real life.

Can you please post the picture, now I'm curious. Also how would you remove bearings and synchro's if all the gears couldn't come of?

EDIT: Sorry guys for being retarded. I owe you and Andreas an apology. I was clearly thinking of the output shaft and the main gears, not the input shaft.Yes the input shaft is one piece, and 5th and 4th are the only gears you can CHANGE without machining.

How much do you think you are looking at if you get a new input shaft made with swappable gears?

You cant buy that gear. Nismo does not make it anymore.

We would have to get together and have a few made and use a company like houseman to make them.

I think little shorter would be better:

4. 1.085
5. 0.840

What you think?

Btw. who else should be interest in shorter 4-5th gear?

I would be interested in a shorter final drive for LSD boxes. Any reason why the final drives made for non-lsd boxes can't fit LSD boxes?

Different number of holes on the main ring gear. Not sure if that is the only difference.

Andreas, ive found out HN14 Pulsar SR18DE has 0.810 5th gear. Do you think Greg can source this gear from Nissan Japan?
