I don't think that top speed would benefit most of the forum members

no but if we could get the nismo n1 trans gears 1-4 i think most people would benefit. nice close gearing and just swap out your choice of 5th and final drive. say use a 4.0 final for turbo guys and a 4.4-5.0 for na i think would be awesome

I'd be interested in a 5.1FD too, id say i could get another 2-3 Irish lads too.

Would it make a big diff?

Yes, it will make big difference. Check my calculation 4.1 FD vs. 5.1 FD.

Btw. FD will be for NON-vlsd tranny... i think for VLSD there is different bolt pattern and im not sure if he can make it without VLSD tranny.

Ok a final drive consists of a ring gear and pinion gear shaft.

Can you find out hos much just for the 5.0 pinion shaft and we will have our own ring gear made since they dont do these for LSD.

If they ould make these for LSD they would be selling these things all day.

Ah ya would have to be for LSD, there's thousands of VE owners in Ireland and they all have lsd's as standard

@Miko is there much involved in getting ring gear made?

Andreas: What does he need to make it for VLSD? I have one VZ-R SR16VE tranny myself...

On the left is the ring gear on the right is the pinion gear. These are the parts that make up a final drive. So since he has the pinion gear for the 5.0 all he need is to make the correct ring gear to bolt up to the VLS and its over.

So this means if you can ship him your ring gear from a VLSd he cam make all the measure ments and game over. Then he could make any VLSD final drive after that.

Ahem i reckon youd get more then two or three. the full gearset for 1100 us dollars looks way better then just a different FD

did you ever see that black civic coupe going around mondello with the gearset and stanadard fd
