5.0 FD in a B13/B14 w/ 23.5" tire at 8500rpm, followed by final ratios.

1 - 38.7mph - 15.315
2 - 64.9mph - 9.13
3 - 92.2mph - 6.43
4 - 121.6mph - 4.875
5 - 156.8mph - 3.78

Sunny GTI, the real reason no one buys you your 5.0 FD is because it is only made for Non LSD. I am not sure why you guys dont see this.

Can all the SR Final Drives not be made with a universal 8 and 10 hole bolt pattern that fits both VLSD and NON-LSD boxes? That would be great.

Some of the bolt holes will need to be slots but you should still get 4 or 5 proper fixed bolt holes.

Ask Honda guys with their K20 + 6spd.

Short gearing makes driving much fun.

Well, I have a VQ35 with a 6 speed 260hp, 250ft-lbs in a Sentra. The gears are very close, despite a really long final drive, the car produces more tire smoke than anything.

I know he is from Europe and I know most of their cars are non LSD, but he is pushing non LSD FDs and asking why no one is buying them, so I told him why.

I think the SR16VE gear box with a change of 4th and 5th gear only would do just fine. The 4th and 5th gear are way to long, and the 4th is to far away from the 3rd gear on the SR16VE.

I suppose with the 2ltr you guys dont find yourselfs in a flat spot changing from second to third like the 1600 does. Even the standard n1 box has this problem and its not the same third i think.

The 1600 needs third fourth and fifth. But third from the n1 box for the vzr box is to close to second imo.

Perhaps seeing as you guys dont need third we could work third, fourth and fifth into suit the vzr gearbox.

But in saying all that the n1 third, fourth and fifth would be better than nothing i guess.

3rd is part of the main shaft and that will be costly if I remeber correctly and that means a complete main shaft has to be made.
